Why a Grandparents’ Day of Prayer

By grandparenting 10 years ago3 Comments

In an attempt by secular humanists to develop a secular society, they Grandparents laughing with grandchildren
have very purposefully and very intentionally carved away at our Godly heritage,
until they have developed a country in which prayer has been removed from schools, being a Christian is scorned, and talking about Jesus is intolerable.

And now here we are. In a country where they call wrong right and right wrong, and where our children are growing up in an entitlement society where no one wins, you don’t have to work to survive, and authority is to be confronted – not respected.

The movies, music, TV, video games, and Internet are desensitizing our grandchildren. They are faced with legal recreational marijuana, drugs, sex trafficking, alcohol, sexual identity, homosexuality, pornography, pre-martial sex and more.

So what do we do when we live in a culture of spiritual, social and moral decline? Are we completely without hope and at the mercy of the merciless and the politically correct?

Dr. Jack Graham, Chairman of the Nat’l Day of Prayer 2-18-15 wrote on their website, “Our world is in turmoil… unstable… full of pressures and uncertainties. And sometimes the problems can seem so overwhelming we wonder if there are any answers to the needs, to the troubles, to the tribulations we face. But there is an answer. And that answer can be found in prayer. In fact, God is looking for people like you and me who will so connect with Him in prayer, that He can unleash His power through us.”

No, We are not without hope. We read in Psalms 46:1, “We have a God who is our refuge and strength, our stronghold in times of trouble.”

This is why Christian Grandparenting Network is declaring the National Grandparents Day as a Day of Prayer for our grandchildren and our families.

NOW we are calling all grandparents to join in prayer in their churches, community and around the world for an intentional day of prayer on behalf of the next generation.

We are in a battle .
I just wish everybody knew this .
But America seems to be in
    A hypnotic state
But as Christians yes prayer is the key
Now Islam is at the front door
    Banging at the back door
Trying to come through the windows
We have to pray we must pray we better pray we need to pray
It seems I pray and pray and I pray for salvation of the lost and they’re still lost
But first John 3:8 says that Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil
There is no other reason why he was manifest
But I’m not looking at the lost still being lost because God made it clear to me
    Look only to him
depending on what God said in first John 3:8
    And he will answer
God bless you all and keep the faith
