Have you heard of the Grandparents’ Day of Prayer?

By grandparenting 4 years agoNo Comments

Let’s make Grandparents Day on September 12, 2021,
Day of Prayer for our grandchildren and their parents

Today the Judeo-Christian foundation of our nation is being attacked like never before: educationally, socially, financially, politically, racially, and spiritually. It is going to be interesting to see what the new NORM will be like. Christianity itself is under assault; parents and grandparents are involved in a tug of war for their children’s hearts and minds. It is increasingly difficult to navigate a world that is hostile to the Truth and aggressively attacking Christian views and values.

We read in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (NLT), “For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.”

According to Barna Research, A total of 58 percent of U.S. adults agreed that “identifying moral truth is up to each individual; there are no moral absolutes that apply to everyone all the time. Surprisingly, 48 percent of adults identified as born-again Christians agreed with the statement.1 This is what our grandchildren and their parents are exposed to hearing today.

Grandparents who believe in prayer can make a difference. Grandparents need to be intentional about the power of prayer to keep the hearts and minds of their grandchildren and their parents from falling captive to the enemy’s deception. We are actively engaged in spiritual warfare that requires prayer as a weapon.

The Christian Grandparenting Network (CGN) invites you to be a part of this movement to pray intentionally for our grandchildren, families, and world. Start making plans now to pray together in person or with your church. More information is available on our website. https://christiangrandparenting.com/prayer/grandparents-day-of-prayer/

We will have a 30-day prayer challenge starting on August 12.

Will you join grandparents throughout the world
uniting in prayer on Sunday, September 12
