Do you Need an Answer for a Broken Nation?

In the book of Nehemiah, we meet a man of God with a broken heart because of his broken nation. He searched and sought evidence about its condition from people who had been there, seen its destruction, and the people who were in “great distress” living in the shadows of its rubble. His response is an example for all of us; “I sat down and wept and mourned for days, and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.”(Nehemiah 1:4)

He inspected the trouble and rubble for himself, being careful to make sure he acted on truth and not rumor. Then he rallied the people of God to come together and work together to reconstruct the walls and assemble them for worship and reading the Word of God.

In many ways, our nations are in deep need of a “Nehemiah Response.” Torn down and torn apart by this pandemic, prejudice, politics, destruction, and pain, Our nations are in trouble! As followers of Jesus and prayer warriors in His spiritual army, our frontline, the first response should always be PRAYER. We should respond like Nehemiah.

Thus, we are not going to let the pandemic distract us from our annual Grandparents’ Day of Prayer on the National Grandparents’ Day. It is urgent that grandparents unite in prayer for our grandchildren and their parents. Perhaps no other time in our history has a call to prayer been more critical for grandparents as it is today. Grandparents need to be intentional about prayer and avail its power to keep the hearts and minds of their grandchildren from falling captive to the enemy’s deception. We are engaged in a spiritual battle that requires prayer as its weapon.

Will you join grandparents throughout the world for our Virtual Grandparents’ Day of Prayer? We will not let the pandemic distract us. We will intentionally pray for our dear grandchildren and their parents facing attacks from the enemy.
