Someday we will see our Grandchildren again.

Today I am sharing an email I received from the author, Pam Webb telling me about the book she recently wrote: “Someday we will.” An excellent resource to connect with grandchildren.

Pam writes, “Our current pandemic situation is making it difficult to maintain relationships with loved ones, especially with our grandchildren, and prayerful consideration for their well-being is important. 

As a grandparent who values my role and influence and relationship with my granddaughter, I look forward to my visits with her. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen her in over a year, and I was anticipating a visit when everything shut down. I am not sure when I will be seeing her now. 

When she was little (soon she will be 13) I imagined all the wonderful activities we would share together as she got older. I wrote a picture book based on those hopes: Someday We Will. The book was released in April, right when I had hopes of seeing my granddaughter on spring break. While the original intent of the book was focusing on the anticipation of grandparents and grandchildren waiting to visit on another, the book has taken on another meaning: keeping the hope that someday we will be together again. 

I wanted to bring your attention to the book, as so many grandparents and grandchildren are separated from each other for the present, and it is important to focus on how someday we will be together once again. I am noticing the book is popping up on the internet as a storytime reading video from different churches, and people are writing me how the book’s message is helping them during their separation from loved ones.”
