The friends of our grandchildren can have a great impact on their lives especially when they get to school and in their teenage years. Their peers and education influence their lives more than anything else, except for their home and family.
Friends are important to a child’s healthy development. It is not emotionally or spiritually healthy for a child to be isolated.
We all have a natural desire to be a part of something that gives us a sense of acceptance and affirmation. So it is important our grandchildren learn to encourage and build up others. It makes one feel good to encourage and affirm others.
Pray your grandchild will learn to encourage, affirm their friends and sensitive to other children who may be different.
It’s only 6 days until Grandparents Day. Will you make it a day of intentional prayer?
