Be the Best Grandparent you can Be!

I just read a new book titled Be the Best Grandparent you can Be! Authored by Ken Canfield, Ph.D., and Founder of Grandkids Matter. He encourages and empowers grandparents for living their journey of grandparenting with success. He has done a lot of research and gives Biblical insights and experiences from grandparenting his eleven grandchildren and soon to be twelve.

This book is about enabling grandparents to have a rich connection with their grandchildren. He shares with us the five keys for grandparenting has learned to be a granddad for each of his grandchildren.

He introduces the acronym HEART that identifies five fundamental and integrated aspects of grandparenting:

• H – Sharing your Heritage.
• E – Setting a Positive Example
• A– Offering Angelic influence of care and protection,
• R– Taking a leading role in Reconciliation
• T– Making the most of your role as a Teacher

 Our gift of grandparenting from God stimulates us to see the meaning and purpose of life in new ways. Our thoughts, feelings, and actions are renewed when we become grandparents.
