Scriptures about controlling anger. These Scriptures show us that anger is not a good thing. A gentle answer turns away wrath.
- Ephesians 4:26 When you are angry, do not sin. And do not go on being angry all day.
- Colossians 3:8 But now put these things out of your life: anger, bad temper, doing or saying things to hurt others, and using evil words when you talk.
- Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
- Proverbs 29:11 A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.
- Proverbs 22: 24 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered.
Let’s pray our grandchildren will learn they will get angry sometimes but they need to learn to control their anger, with a gentle answer, even at an early age.
They will be rewarded with a gentle spirit, feeling good about themselves and their friend will want to be with them.
