The way our grandchildren respond to others is important. Getting along with others is a big part of having success in school, relationships, and their work experience. Learning to get along with one’s siblings is a good place to learn to get along with others. Learning to control their anger will keep them from making some big mistakes.
Pray your grandchildren will:
- Learn to control their tongues at an early age for success in their relationships with their families, in school, and employment. (Proverbs 13:3 NLT)
- Learn to speak gently with understanding and not stir up anger with harsh words, which they will regret, especially in confrontations. (Proverbs 15:1)
- Learn to control their tongue when angry. Anger can cause mistakes. (Proverbs 14:29)
- Learn that the tongue of the wise brings healing.” ( Proverbs 12:18)
Have you heard about the Grandparents@Prayer groups? If you have not, then we have the answer for you!
Christian Grandparents Network saw the need and has encouraged Grandparents @ Prayer (G@P) groups to provide a safe environment for two or more grandparents to gather and pray for their grandchildren and their parents. Most groups schedule their meetings weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly. Meetings last approximately one hour. G@P groups consist of small or large groups of people meeting once or twice a month at a designated location for 1 to 1 ½ hours of prayer and fellowship.
I would like to share testimonies of a participant.
I love the sweet fellowship, support, and friendships of my Grandparents at Prayer Group. I feel safe to share my heavy heart for my grandchildren and their parents, knowing others will be praying for them. It is wonderful to see how God is answering our prayers in the lives of our families as we pray for them. Carol Glad, Oregon
