I thought this quote from a Facebook post by Focus on the Family* described our families in our today’s culture. “Satan wants us tired, worn thin, and stressed. He wants us in debt up to our eyeballs, and our health failing because we can’t sleep enough, eat right, or handle our stress effectively. He wants husbands and wives fighting over finances, disrespectful teens who learned how to treat their parents based off Nickelodeon sitcoms, and thousands of young children sexually abused by the adults we’re so quick to place our trust. He wants us busy, but not productive. He wants our plates full, but our tank empty. He wants us looking to society for what’s best for our families, not God’s word as a lamp to our feet. He wants the family unit ripped apart…” Facebook, Focus on the Family 3-24-18
“A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10a
In today’s broken world, Satan’s purpose is to destroy the family. It is crucial that we pray God will give our children wisdom and time management in their monumental task of guiding our grandchildren in the ways of the Lord.
Our children have a great responsibility parenting our grandchildren in these insecure, unstable times we live in today. Young families are busy with their jobs, church activities, children’s activities, etc. Pray for their parents will live a godly example and “Teach the children to choose the right path”. Proverbs 22:6a
There are many distractions for them in their marriage, employment, and parenting, etc.

- Pray for their parent’s marriage. Ask God to protect, preserve, and sustain it. Knit their hearts together in complete unity. May their love for each other never fail?
- Pray for protection and good health in their families, especially from the increase of contagious diseases. Ask God to place a shield of protection emotionally, physically, and spiritually in the chaotic world we live.
