Dear Lord, I pray __________will learn that God is his/her rock, fortress and savior choosing to run to Him for safety when he/she needs physical, spiritual and emotional protection. In Jesus’ name. Psalm18:2
Recently we have heard a lot about the mass shootings, sex trafficking, opioid drugs, etc. It is crucial that we pray for the physical, emotional, and spiritual protection of our dear grandchildren. We read in 1 Peter 5:8, “The enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
Pray your grandchildren will be alert to recognize the evil in their environment and stand firm in their faith.
Have you heard about the Grandparents@Prayer groups? G@P groups provide a safe environment for two or more grandparents to gather and pray for their grandchildren. G@P groups consist of small or large groups of people meeting once or twice a month at a designated location for 1 to 1 ½ hours of prayer and fellowship.
One of the grandmothers in my G@P prayer group wrote: I have always believed in the power of prayer, not as a means to an end but as a means to God. The grandmother’s prayer group is a beautiful group of like-minded grandmother’s and even aunts. They have the same desire that prayer is the lifeline that draws us to The Lord. It is the way we see God at work in the lives of those we love and entrusted to us. Jan Auten, Oregon
