Today, our children are facing social challenges we would never have dreamed of in our younger years or even when many of us were raising our children.
We are living in challenging times in a cultural war, as our world is sinking further into moral and spiritual depravity. Our grandchildren have immediate access to information and images with the use of the computer, tablets, cell phones and etc. These electronic devices are being used for positive influences but are also used negative influences.
If you are interested in learning more about the sexual culture our grandkids live, I would encourage you to read this article so you will be able to know how to pray for your grandchildren and their parents. “The Percentage of 12 year olds who admit being addicted to Porn will shock you.” http://fightthenewdrug.org/the-percentage-of-12-year-olds-who-admit-being-addicted-to-porn-will-shock-you/
However, David writes in “How can a young person stay pure? By obeying God’s word and following its rules.” (Psalm 119:9) If they know God’s Word they will be able to recognize the evil and deceit being self-controlled and alert, resisting the evil one and standing firm in their faith. (I Peter 5:8, 9)
Just as Esther intentionally prayed for the lives of her people the Israelites to be spared from physical death, we can pray our grandchildren to be saved spiritually. There is hope for our next generation. “God is our refuge and strength an ever-present help in trouble” Psalms 46:1 NIV God has given us the avenue of prayer to communicate with Him. James writes, “The prayer of a righteous man is effective and powerful. (James 5:16b)
Let’s intentionally pray our grandchildren will learn God’s word then they will know how to live their lives in our fragmented and deceitful culture in which we live today.
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children, grandchildren are walking in the truth.” III John 1:4
