Valentine’s Day is an excellent time to communicate to your grandchildren that you love them and pray for them regularly.
Send a Valentine card to your grandchildren.
Write this prayer or your own prayer in a card.
Dear God, give ________ a good heart:
♥ a heart that is gentle, tender, and teachable
♥ a heart that loves You
♥ a heart that wants to obey You
♥ a heart You can use for Your glory
In Jesus name, Amen.
Here’s another Valentine’s Day idea for grandparents is to show and teach love for others to their grandchildren.
For example, send them a Valentine with two five-dollar bills (or whatever amount you desire.) One five-dollar bill is your love gift to them; the other five-dollar bill is for them to show love forward to where they see a need. This will give you an opportunity to discuss different options of how they can show love to others. Then ask them to report to you how they showed their love forward.
“Dear Friends, since God so loved us,
we also ought to love one another” I John 4:11.
