What Are The Benefits And Privileges Of Being a Grandparent?

By grandparenting 12 years ago2 Comments

What are your benefits and privileges of being a grandparent?  When I see my grandchildren it makes me happy when they give me a hug, when I get to observe their soccer games, dance recitals and other activities. I also enjoy watching them develop and learn new things as they are growing up. It is great to just enjoy them and pray for them and not have the responsibility to parent them. Would you please share what benefits and privileges you experience being a grandparent in the comments below the blog?

I would like to share a short message from well-known author and pastor, Dr. Gene Getz for you to watch as he speaks about how he feels about being a grandparent.

  • Susan Adcox says:

The greatest benefit of having grandchildren is the gift of living in the moment. When you are helping them blow a giant bubble or catch a lizard or make an ice cream sundae, it’s impossible to worry about the past or the future.

  • Thank you for the comment, Susan. We had 3 granddaughters over for a sleepover last Fri. night. What a joy it was to interact with them. It is a blessing to see their love for the Lord. Grandchildren are a blessing.
